We have had an interesting property market in the last few years to put it mildly! Vancouver has most definitely become a world destination city which has proven to have its pros and cons!
By the end of 2017 we were experiencing a definite resistance to pricing in the detached upper end market. In contrast the condo and townhouse market experienced a bumper year with prices increasing as much as 30% over a 6-9 month period!
It appears that the general un-affordability in detached homes has pushed a lot of people into the more affordable property types!
Despite the ups and downs, historically it is still very clear when you look at the graph that if you are in the market and stay in you will almost always come out winning!
